Mendacity – for those who do not sit at home with their SAT flashcards – means “the tendency to lie.” That is the pot calling the kettle black, sir. And Corey Booker stipulates (since we have to step-up our vocabulary) that these events “hate crimes are surging, people afraid to come out of their homes” are because of Trump fear. At least, I think that is what he meant in the CNN interview. I sort of got lost at “mendacity”. That and the “darker angels” bit. Seems like there is either a poor edit, or a bad train of thought from Mr. Booker at that point in the clip. For someone who works for the People, he sure has a hard time relating to the People. Furthermore, when using mendacity, under what context does the “tendency to lie” somehow equate with hate crimes surging?
I agree that people in this country are afraid. The ones who voted for Trump are afraid he will be taken in by the DC Elite and stop the Trump Train from barreling through the swamp to make America Great Again. The ones who didn’t vote for Trump are afraid of being arrested, cut-off from their benefits, and may have get a job if they are not convicted of a crime. Of course, I am still speaking of the DC Elite. They are very afraid. Nationwide, deportation is an added concern.
With the Trump Administration active for two months, there will be hopefully many, many such instances of Trump saying to an unknown official or contracted company:
“Look, you and I both know that we have the goods on you for this, this, and this. Here’s the deal: You can take your chances with public opinion and the courts with things getting ugly, or we can settle this with an agreement of 50-75% of your gross assets, forfeiture of all ongoing benefits to include income, healthcare, travel, communications, and retirement, while quietly resigning from office with your reputation intact. By-Bye now.”
Because seriously, folks. How in the world are every federally elected official living off the high hog on our dime while raping and pillaging our pocketbooks and our freedoms? Fat cats robbing us of our wealth and safety in the name of tolerance and climate change.
So it is not just about draining the swamp. It is also about poking the bloat. The bloat in income, budgets, and costs of doing business in DC. At all levels: messenger to CEO to Congressman, paperclips to the Space Shuttle. Every single contract with the government is bloated and it is sickening to think of the pilfering and racketeering going on in all levels of government. Racketeering : Dishonest and fraudulent business dealings.
So yes, Mr. Booker, you should have fear. Fear that God willing, Trump and his team really do have America First and start poking the bloat and draining the swamp… more like responding to a HAZMAT site. “Toxic”, Mr. Booker? Yes, you are again correct. Toxic due to the corrupt DC Elite that YOU sir, are to be considered a part. You should be afraid.
